Roof repair

Roof repair in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids & the Lakeshore

Targeted fixes for the problems West Michigan weather causes most.

01 · Common repairs

What we fix

Wind-lifted & missing shingles

Brittle tabs that caught a gust and tore loose.

Flashing failures

Leaks around chimneys, vents and skylights.

Valley leaks

Where two slopes meet and water concentrates.

Storm damage

Hail and wind damage after West Michigan storms.

02 · Ice dams

The West Michiganwinter roof problem.

With 80 to 95 inches of lake-effect snow through the snowbelt and 80 to 90 freeze-thaw cycles a winter, ice dams are close to inevitable on some roofs. Heat escaping the attic melts snow higher up, it runs down and refreezes at the cold eaves, and the ridge of ice backs water up under the shingles.

We repair the damaged shingles, underlayment and flashing, and we'll tell you what's causing the melt so it doesn't keep happening.

03 · An honest note

A repair is a repair

During the visit we'll tell you whether the rest of the roof is a candidate for rejuvenation or heading for replacement. You decide what happens next.
